At SleepDebtFree, your privacy is paramount. We've built this application with a privacy-first, local-first architecture. All your sleep data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information to our servers.

What Data is Collected

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's IndexedDB (a local database):

• Sleep diary entries (bedtime, wake time, sleep duration, quality ratings)
• Active recovery plans and schedules
• Sleep efficiency calculations
• Chronotype assessment results
• User preferences and settings

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. You have complete control and can delete all data at any time through the application settings.

Analytics Data

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This analytics service collects:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Approximate location (country/region level only)
• Device type and browser information
• Referral sources (how you found our site)

Important: Analytics data is anonymized and does not include your sleep data or personal health information.

What Data is NOT Collected

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your sleep data or health information
• Your specific sleep schedules or recovery plans
• User accounts or login credentials (we don't have user accounts)
• Precise geolocation or GPS data

Data Storage and Retention

Local Storage: Your sleep data is stored in your browser's IndexedDB database. This data persists until you:

• Manually delete it through the application
• Clear your browser's data/cache
• Uninstall your browser

We have no ability to access or delete this data - only you can.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only third-party service we use is:

• Ahrefs Web Analytics: For anonymized website analytics (as described above)

Export and Portability

You can export all your sleep data at any time in JSON or CSV format through the application. This allows you to:

• Create backups of your data
• Share data with healthcare providers
• Transfer data to another device or application

Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies for:

• Remembering your dark mode preference
• Anonymous analytics (Ahrefs)

We do not use tracking pixels or third-party advertising cookies.

Children's Privacy

SleepDebtFree is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
